The 15th International Conference on Information Optics and Photonics
2024-08-07

The 15th International Conference on Information Optics and Photonics (CIOP2024) was held in Xi'an, China during August 11-15. At that time, UPOLabs will participate in the conference and focus on the "Zhibo" DMD space light modulator and vortex light experiment system.

"Smart Broadcasting" technology is a new interactive mode, which is implemented by UPOLabs into the DMD spatial light modulator, that is, the HDSLM DMD spatial light modulator Smart series (hereinafter referred to as the Smart series). The main functions of the Smart series are: intelligent mask algorithm, special-shaped ROI (region of interest) region definition, on-board pattern generation function, peripheral instruction penetration function, timing control function, etc. At the same time, it can support secondary development or customized development to achieve specific algorithms, which can make the experimental system more efficient and compact. The DMD spatial light modulator can significantly improve the operation efficiency, greatly reduce the amount of data transmission between the host computer and the DMD controller, and can repeatedly calculate the addressing with only one load, which is very suitable for scenarios such as structured lighting obvious micro-imaging and dynamic target simulation.

The vortex light experimental system is based on UPOLabs HDSLM80R spatial light modulator, Phaseinsight beam quality analyzer, etc., and can generate vortex beams in two ways, namely spiral phase sheet and dislocation grating method. Based on the vortex beams with different radii at all levels obtained by this experimental system, the optical tweezers experimental platform can be further built, and the optical tweezers platform can be used to capture, manipulate, rotate and trap various micro and nano particles of different sizes and types, so as to expand the range of optical tweezers, and provide theoretical and technical support for the further development of optical tweezers, optical rotation, light trapping and nanotechnology.
