In 2017, the inaugural Special Symposium on Computational Imaging Technology and Applications was successfully held in Xi'an, garnering widespread attention and positive feedback from the industry. To date, the conference has been successfully held for seven sessions, attracting over 100 participating institutions and more than 3,000 attendees cumulatively. In 2021, the "Scattering Branch" and "Polarization Branch" were established in Xiamen and Hefei respectively, expanding the depth and breadth of academic exchanges in the field.
The 8th Special Symposium on Computational Imaging Technology and Applications will be held in Shenzhen from May 22 to 24, 2026. This year's conference is jointly organized by the Xi'an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Shenzhen University, and hosted by the College of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering, Shenzhen University. The event will bring together renowned domestic experts and scholars in the field of computational imaging to engage in in-depth exchanges on cutting-edge technologies and the latest research achievements. The symposium aims to build a platform for academic dialogue and idea exchange, promoting innovation, application, and advancements in teaching and research in computational imaging technology, thereby further expanding its influence in the field of optoelectronic imaging.
At this conference, UPOLabs will present a variety of optoelectronic experimental systems, including the Color Holographic Experimental System, as well as Spatial Light Modulators.
