Young scientists are driving the accelerated convergence of optics with artificial intelligence, information processing, and related fields. From October 16 to 19, 2026, the 9th Optical Young Scientist Symposium (OYSS 2026) will be held in Kunming, Yunnan.
The symposium will feature multiple frontier topics, including artificial intelligence photonics, optical imaging and information processing, and optical field manipulation. For experimental research at the intersection of "optics + AI," UPOLabs will showcase its D²NN all-optical diffractive neural network computing platform and intelligent optical computing system. From neural network models to real optical fields—spanning image input, optical field modulation, and data acquisition and processing—we look forward to meeting more young researchers in Kunming and exchanging new research ideas and experimental approaches.
