Neither a plane nor a sphere, the wavefront of vortex beam is a vortex. Vortex beam features a continuous helical phase distribution.Based on vortex beams with various radii generated by UPOLabs Vortex Beam Experimental System, an optical tweezers experimental platform is available to build for trapping, manipulating and rotating micro-nanometer particles.
